4th of July favor bag

I just put a couple of really cute and simple projects together for a class I'm teaching next week. I love the washi glassine sunglasses holder!  It's so cute and fast and since you can get a six pack of these little 4th of July sunglasses for about two bucks, it's also really inexpensive!

So here's the lowdown:

One glassine bag-I think this one is 3x4 inches.
Some patriotic washi tape, since these are for the 4th. Although, you could use any kind that matched your theme.
Tear them off in varying lengths.
Apply in a simple pattern. I'm not a great designer, so I try to stick to the rule of three.
Slip in the glasses, and you have a cute party favor!  Pay no attention to the fact that this is a different pair of glasses that we started with! :). (These are not the droids you are looking for)
Repeat with any small gift that will slip into these cute and versatile bags!

Favor bag wedding card

I needed a wedding card and I really didn't want to pay 5 dollars for one!

So, I got out some of my scrapbook paper stash and some cute favor bags to see if I could create something bride-worthy.  The envelope is a favor bag (from Pick Your Plum) with a 3x4 from the happy-go-lucky line by Kasie Fry from Echo Park. I thought the spring colors were perfect for a spring wedding, and they matched the bags and embellishments I had on hand.

For the inside, I just cut a piece of patterned cardstock, from the same line, to fit into the favor bag. Then I attached a small glassine bag to the front for our gift, which is always cash. Because that's one thing newlyweds always need!  I stuck a sticker flag from the EP paper onto a long toothpick and added some gingham ribbon and a sentiment sticker.

Ta-da!  A cute wedding card that didn't cost a fortune!  And Kurt and Kate, if you see this before tomorrow, I guess I should congratulate you on having the spare time to go blog hopping the day before your wedding!  :)
